This was a long pending tag from Gils..Apologies for the delay nanba, and moreover tags gives me the creeps. The questions are disturbingly unheard of and also the degree of honesty to be exhibited frightens me slightly..hehe..But this one is fairly straight forward,
1.I must thank the person who gave me the award and list their blog and link it
2.I must list 10 honest things about myself
3.I must put a copy of Honest Scrap logo on my blog
4.I must select atleast 7 8 other worthy bloggers and list their links
5.I must notify the bloggers of the award and hopefully they will follow the above three requirements also.
So Here goes..
Gils nanba, Thanks very much!!!Though your posts are about simple subtle things,You have the quality to make the readers think and go... "Oh yeah..."
10 honest things about myself
1. I love dogs
I was once savagely bitten by a dog. Chased down the entire length of the road by a pack of mutts as I rode my favorite bicycle a little too fast. And one actually managed to sink 2 of its molar teeth right into my lower calf muscle. Then on, I came to be known in the neighbourhood as the girl-who-never-obeyed-parents-and-hence-got-bitten-by-a-dog . I never saw the connection. The scar still has a notable sheen on my skin.I was 9 then…
2. I’m a veggie
I was once a pure non-vegetarian.Anything that crawls, creeps, pecks and swims would end on my plate.Everyday. It’s a habit I picked up in Hyderabad, the food heaven. But now, I’ve given it all up. A veggie since 3 months now.It was hard and tempting in the beginning but mastered the art of self control for a thing as petty as food. But my friends’ circle think otherwise. Rumour has it, that im seeing a Brahmin guy that too one-sided. Had myself in stitches when I heard the theory from a friend,.I’m wondering if I should play along such speculations..and see where the story goes…hehe..
3. Hair fear
My second greatest fear is that I’ll lose all my hair soon.I’m already half way there. I sinfully fidget too much with it. Iron it, press it, straighten it, colourise, de-colourise,disentangle, smoothen, neaten, scrub, brush, comb, claw, prune, pluck……are some of the few things I subject my hair to.
4. I love kids
I’m a sucker for kids, babies and children. I can instantly bond with kids of all age. Kids don’t get all judgmental and cynical about things. They keep things simple.1+1=2.Simple.Its something that always fascinates me. When I’m feeling low or stressed out, I don’t shy away from asking the aunties in my neighborhood to let their kids play cricket with me.
5. Cricket is my religion and Sachin is my god (and Shane Watson is my boyfriend) I talk too much cricket for a girl. Its something I got from my dad .My perfect ideal day would be spending time with dad discussing cricket lazing on the couch watching a test match. Ahh bliss..I’ve never seen Michelangelo paint or Mozart perform, but I’ve seen Sachin bat many times. And I feel gifted to be living in the same era as that of Sachin. And I have a thing for Shane Watson, I keep telling my dad that he’s too cute for an all rounder. ;)
6. Shawshank Redemption
This is one masterpiece of a movie that changed my life.Though there's nothing in the movie that I can related myself to. I’ve watched it a zillion times, and everytime Morgan Freeman says the last few lines in the movie.,I cry like a baby..
“ I find I'm so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend, and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope.”
I think this wil do, before I put more and more mokkai...Feel like ive written an elaborated "About Me" section...And I tag the below listed great writers ( gils has already tagged most of them )
